Even as he tries to cover up his record, Senator “change we can believe in” Barack Obama isn’t able to tell the truth about how committed he is to killing babies.
In 2004, the then-state senator chaired an Illinois Senate committee which voted down a virtually identical bill to the Federal Born-Alive Infants Protection Act. Obama later claimed that he voted no because the bill “lacked a neutrality clause”.
However, legislative records now reveal that such a neutrality clause was unanimously approved, immediately prior to the Democrats (Obama among them) voting the bill down, 6-4.
After Senator Obama left the Illinois state senate, the bill finally passed, with the same language that he had voted against in committee.
